International Book Giving Day 2018

Have you heard about International Book Giving Day?

Calling all book lovers! It’s not that long now until February 14th, so maybe it’s time to start thinking about how you can support International Book Giving Day.

If you feel like joining in with the event this year, the idea is to donate a book to a child, whether it is to someone you know locally or to someone far away. The aim of Book Giving Day is to increase children’s access to books, and of course nurture the love children have for books too.

In previous years, participants have been known to leave books in waiting rooms, or to donate to libraries, hospitals and charities for example. But a personal gift to a loved one or acquaintance is equally special! Maybe you are raring to declutter ready for your spring clean, and have some books that your children have outgrown? I know we have ended up with some doubles over Christmas!

Are you interested?

You can keep in touch with the event in a number of ways.

Many thanks for your support, and do enjoy having a sort out of your books at home.

Biggest congratulations to Emma Perry for organising International Book Giving Day. She is a dynamo and a most generous writing buddy!

With love,
